LiveSchool is a new way of learning A-level Computer Science from Pembrokeshire College.

You will have access to 60 x two hour online A-level Computer Science lessons delivered live by your course tutor (one lesson per week during term time throughout the course).

All of the online live sessions are also recorded to allow you to access any of your previous lessons whenever you want to…which is very useful for revising!

LiveSchool also includes A-level Computer Science revision and exam preparation sessions towards the end of the course.

In this increasingly technological age, the study of computer science, and particularly how computers are used in the solution of a variety of problems, is not only valuable to the learners but also essential to the future well-being of the country.

Entry Requirements

While there are no formal requirements to study A Level Computer Science LiveSchool, we recommend that you have completed an appropriate Level 2 IGCSE IT course prior to your study and have a strong grasp of English and Maths.

While your HomeWork does not count towards your final grade, it is used to monitor your progress and ability.

All HomeWork has been designed to prepare you for your examinations, and questions are based on examination style questions.

Your HomeWork has been designed to match a specific A level Computer Science LiveSchool session, so it is easy to go back and revisit the relevant lesson if you get stuck.

Tutor Support

The most important part of your Computer Science A Level course (apart from you) is your dedicated tutor.

All LiveSchool tutors have extensive academic experience and have taught Computer Science in the classroom as well as online.

During your course you will choose a computing problem to work through according to the guidance in the specification.

It is your responsibility to find an exam centre and we recommend you book your exams 6 months prior to the date of exams (exams  are not included in the course fees).
